We are currently looking for ambitious and career orientated individuals to work in our state of the art Volkswagen dealership. Future-proof  yourself in the motor trade as the role we are advertising is for ideally someone looking to progress their career through training and development in a fast-paced modern dealership. We are actively looking to fast track our technicians through training and High Voltage training to provide our customers with a standard of work second to none. 

The Role

The ideal candidates will be based in our purpose built South Dublin dealership in Sandyford, experienced in all aspects of vehicle servicing and diagnostics and be capable of producing high quality work in a busy environment.  Responsibilities include

  • Performing work as outlined on the job card with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and Volkswagen standards.
  • Communicating with parts department to obtain needed parts, inform workshop manager if vehicle is awaiting parts and pursue special order of parts if necessary.
  • Diagnosing cause of any malfunction and perform repair after confirming authorization by customer.
  • Saving and tagging any and all parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by customer.
  • Examining the vehicle and performing vehicle health checks to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
  • Notifying service advisors immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs can not be completed within the time promised.
  • Road-testing vehicles to spot check work performed.
  • Keeping abreast of Volkswagen technical bulletins and attend factory sponsored training classes.
  • Maintaining a clean and neat workspace and adhering to all company policies, procedures and safety standards

Requirements

  • Qualified technician, ideally working with a Volkswagen Group brand, however not completely necessary.
  • Ability to clearly complete job card write ups with a thorough understanding of the requirements of factory standards for warranty write-ups.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to identify and explain additional work required to service advisors or customers as required.
  • Previous experience on engine/transmission repairs/rebuild/replacement would be an advantage.
  • Full valid Drivers Licence is required for this role.

    As a Diagnostic Technician at Frank Keane Volkswagen, you will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of all types of vehicles, particularly those from the Volkswagen brand. You will work with cutting-edge technology on the latest vehicle systems to ensure the safety, performance, and longevity of these vehicles. Please note applicants must be qualified as a motor technician to qualify for this position. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnostic Assessment: Conduct comprehensive diagnostic tests and inspections to identify issues relating to customer concerns to achieve a first time fix.
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance and advanced repairs on electric, hybrid and ICE vehicles, including battery servicing, charging system checks, and powertrain component replacements.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to strict safety protocols and guidelines when working, ensuring the safety of both the technician and the vehicle.

  • Certifications: Qualified Diagnostic Technician from a recognized brand or training partner, VAG group a benefit but not essential  .
  • Experience: Previous experience as a vehicle technician or diagnostic technician is essential. Volkswagen-specific experience is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment, in-depth knowledge of vehicle electrics and all vehicle systems..
  • Safety Awareness: Demonstrated commitment to safety, with knowledge of safety procedures and protocols.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to explain complex technical information in a clear and understandable manner.

Due to increased demand from our customers we are seeking an Experienced Car Sales Executive to join our Sales Team in our Volkswagen Dealership in Sandyford.  Reporting to the Head of Sales this is an exciting and challenging role at a time where Volkswagen is bringing many new and ground-breaking models to the Irish market. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a passion for customer care andwill possess a postive attitude towards success. With a demonstrable track record of success in the motor industry you will enjoy a commensurate financial package which will be market leading. At Frank Keane Volkswagen we genuinely believe that sales people's time should be spent selling so an excellent support network is in place onsite to manage non-selling tasks such as handovers, F&I, used car valuations and administration. 

Key Objectives:

  • Be able to confidently demonstrate the Volkswagen Passenger Car products to prospective customers in a friendly, non-pressurised way. An ability to understand new automotive technology and explain these features to customers in simple & practical terms is our goal.
  • Use digital tools to receive and follow-up on enquiries and support our paperless deal processing.

  • Due to increased demand from our customers Frank Keane Volkswagen are looking to recruit a Bodywork Advisor for our Dealership in Liffey Valley. Reporting to the Bodywork Manager, this important and demanding role is critical to the smooth running of our Aftersales Department as we strive for a 5-Star Service for our customers along their journey. 

Job Summary: As a Bodywork Advisor, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to all who choose Frank Keane Volkswagen to have their vehicle repaired. You will act as a liaison between our customers and our approved bodyshops to ensure a smooth and efficient service process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Interaction: Greet and assist customers, understand their service needs and provide recommendations based on the manufacturer's guidelines and the vehicle's condition.
  • Service Recommendations: Communicate vehicle issues and repair recommendations to customers, including required repairs and suggested services.
  • Service Scheduling: Schedule bodywork appointments and manage loan vehicles, if necessary, to accommodate customer needs and bodyshop capacity.
  • Service Estimates: Provide customers with accurate and transparent cost estimates for service and repairs, including parts, labour, and potential additional charges.
  • Vehicle Inspection: Conduct vehicle inspections and document the condition of the customer's vehicle. Share findings with customers and prioritise necessary repairs and maintenance.
  • Communication: Keep customers informed of the progress of their repair work, including any unexpected delays or additional repairs required.
  • Parts Ordering: Order necessary parts and materials to ensure timely completion of service or repair jobs.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all repair work is performed to Volkswagen's quality and safety standards.
  • Billing and Invoicing: Prepare and explain invoices to customers, collecting payments, and handling any warranty claims or issues.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing any concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and organised service records, including customer information, vehicle details, service history, and repair orders.
  • Sales Opportunities: Identify potential upsell opportunities for service packages, extended warranties, and accessories.


Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a Bodywork or Service Advisor role is desirable.
  • CDK / Keyloop (Kerridge) experience is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with computer software and service management systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills.
  • Must possess a valid driver's licence for both manual & automatic transmission.
