We are currently looking for ambitious and career orientated individuals to work in our state of the art Volkswagen dealership. Future-proof  yourself in the motor trade as the role we are advertising is for ideally someone looking to progress their career through training and development in a fast-paced modern dealership. We are actively looking to fast track our technicians through training and High Voltage training to provide our customers with a standard of work second to none. 

The Role

The ideal candidates will be based in our purpose built South Dublin dealership in Sandyford, experienced in all aspects of vehicle servicing and diagnostics and be capable of producing high quality work in a busy environment.  Responsibilities include

  • Performing work as outlined on the job card with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and Volkswagen standards.
  • Communicating with parts department to obtain needed parts, inform workshop manager if vehicle is awaiting parts and pursue special order of parts if necessary.
  • Diagnosing cause of any malfunction and perform repair after confirming authorization by customer.
  • Saving and tagging any and all parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by customer.
  • Examining the vehicle and performing vehicle health checks to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
  • Notifying service advisors immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs can not be completed within the time promised.
  • Road-testing vehicles to spot check work performed.
  • Keeping abreast of Volkswagen technical bulletins and attend factory sponsored training classes.
  • Maintaining a clean and neat workspace and adhering to all company policies, procedures and safety standards

Requirements

  • Qualified technician, ideally working with a Volkswagen Group brand, however not completely necessary.
  • Ability to clearly complete job card write ups with a thorough understanding of the requirements of factory standards for warranty write-ups.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to identify and explain additional work required to service advisors or customers as required.
  • Previous experience on engine/transmission repairs/rebuild/replacement would be an advantage.
  • Full valid Drivers Licence is required for this role.

As Workshop Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the workshop, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and quality standards are consistently met. You will lead a team of technicians, coordinate workflow, and support the Workshop Controller & Service Manager in achieving departmental targets.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support workshop technicians and apprentices
  • Allocate work effectively to maximise productivity & efficiency
  • Ensure all repairs and servicing meet Volkswagen standards

The Quality Controller in the automotive workshop is responsible for ensuring that all vehicle repairs, maintenance, and modifications meet the highest standards of quality and safety. This role involves inspecting vehicles at various stages of the repair process, verifying compliance with manufacturer specifications, and ensuring customer satisfaction through rigorous quality checks.

Working Conditions

  • Faced paced workshop environment with exposure to vehicles, tools, and machinery.
  • May involve standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect vehicles before, during, and after repair or maintenance to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in training workshop staff on quality standards, procedures, and
  • Collaborate with service advisors and technicians to resolve quality issues and improve service
    delivery.
  • Ensure workshop processes comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain detailed inspection records and quality reports for each vehicle.
  • Identify and document defects, non-conformities, or incomplete work, and coordinate with technicians
    for corrective actions.
  • Conduct road tests and diagnostic checks to confirm proper functioning of vehicle systems.
  • Verify that all mechanical, electrical, and bodywork repairs meet OEM (Original Equipment
    Manufacturer) specifications.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools and quality inspection equipment.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, service bulletins, and repair orders.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with OEM standards and automotive quality control processes.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
  • Proven experience in an automotive workshop or dealership environment.
  • Technical certification or diploma in Automotive Engineering or a related field.

We are seeking a Trainee Sales Executive to join our Sales Team in our Volkswagen Dealership in Sandyford. Reporting to the Commercial Manager this is an exciting and challenging role at a time where Volkswagen is bringing many new and ground-breaking models to the Irish market. 


The ideal candidate will have a passion for Volkswagen Commercial & Life Vehicles and a willingness to learn from a very experienced and process-driven team of sales professionals. 


Key Objectives:

  • Ensuring all of our vehicles are in the right places at the right times will be one of the key initial responsibilities of the Trainee Sales Executive.
  • Being responsible for our online presence for used vehicles in stock. This includes liaising with our Vehicle Preparation Team to ensure stock vehicles are progressing through our preparation process so that they can be available to photograph for our online sales channels.
  • Adding photographs and detailed descriptions of all used vehicles to our online sales channels.
  • Ad-hoc duties as instructed by the Sales Controller and Management Team including collection and delivery of stock vehicles and some administrative duties relating to vehicle paperwork.

 Critical Skills:

  • Full clean Irish driving licence.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • A personality which is both hard-working and ambitious.
  • Ability to take direction from multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders from cross-departmental operations.
  • Keen interest in Commercial & Life Vehicles would be a distinct advantage.
  • A flair for high-quality photography is also advantageous.
